This course covers the structure and properties of all functional groups of organic compounds including hydrocarbons, alkanes, cycloalkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatic compounds, halides, alcohols, phenols, ethers, amines, carbonyl compounds and carboxylic acids. The stereochemistry of organic compounds is discussed in this course. Applications related to medicine are given throughout the course.
