2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us and information that is automatically collected when you use our service:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide.
• Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our platform, including study sessions, quiz results, and learning progress.
• Study and Chat Content: We process messages, answers, selected subject or study context, notes, uploaded files, and other study content you submit so we can provide study support, feedback, saved materials, and help.
• Photos, Videos, and Audio: If you choose to upload an image, video, or voice note, or record audio in the mobile app, we process that content only to provide the feature you requested, such as explaining an image or transcribing voice.
• Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including IP address, browser type, and operating system.
• Authentication Data: If you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive basic profile information (name, email) from Google.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Personalize your learning experience and create adaptive study plans
• Track your progress and provide feedback
• Send your chat prompt, selected subject or study context, and any attachment, voice, photo, or file you choose to submit to the AI service needed to generate the requested response
• Communicate with you about your account and our services
• Ensure security and prevent fraud
• Comply with legal obligations

Important: We do NOT use your personal data, conversations, or learning progress to train our AI models. Your student data is used solely to provide personalized study support and improve your individual learning experience. We do not share, sell, or use your educational data for AI model training purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We may share data with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics).
• Mobile and App Operations: We may use trusted providers for authentication, app hosting, analytics, crash diagnostics, payments, file storage, and customer support. These providers process data on our behalf to run and secure the service.
• Third-Party AI Services: If you choose to use Zaki or another AI feature and give in-app permission, we may send your message text, selected subject or study context, and any attachment, voice, photo, or file you choose to submit to OpenRouter, which routes requests to model providers such as Google Gemini. Voice transcription may be sent to OpenAI or OpenRouter. These services process the content to provide the response you requested.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred to the new entity.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Children and Minors

Our service is designed for students in Grades 11-12 (ages typically 16-18). We take extra care when handling data from minors (users under 18 years old).

By using TabeebAI, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years old
• If you are under 18, you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use this service
• Your parent or guardian understands and accepts this Privacy Policy on your behalf

Parents and guardians may contact us at any time to review, correct, or delete their child's personal information. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without parental consent.

8. Jordan Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) Compliance

We comply with the Jordan Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) effective March 2024. Under this law, you have the following rights:

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and local storage to run your session (sign-in), language preferences, platform security, and aggregated usage measurement to improve the product. You can control cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without essential session cookies.

We do not use cookies to sell your personal data. Analytics tools (e.g. PostHog) may use aggregated identifiers as described in this policy.

To understand how students navigate the app and where they get stuck, we may use privacy-masked session replay via our analytics processor (PostHog). Replays mask all text and inputs, so your answers, chat messages, and personal details are not captured in them. Replays are sampled, kept for a limited period, and used only to improve the product.

11. Trust and AI (Zaki)

TabeebAI is a supporting e-learning platform—not a school or Ministry of Education partner unless stated in a formal agreement. For official rules, dates, and fees, use your ministry’s website.

Zaki is a study guide for syllabus-based explanations and review. It can be wrong—verify textbooks, your school, or the ministry for official exams.

Before the app sends your first AI message, it asks for permission and explains that your message text, selected subject or study context, and any attachment, voice, photo, or file you choose to submit may be sent to third-party AI services. If you decline, the app does not send the message to Zaki.

We do not use your chats or learning progress to train general-purpose AI models for advertising. Full school/ministry legal wording is in the Terms of Service (Disclaimers section).

Parents and guardians: we do not provide parents with a log of a student's Zaki chat history. When a parent account is linked (WalidAI), you may see study progress summaries—not the content of private chats.
