In this course medical ethics will be defined and terminology explained, so that the future physician will be familiar with the subject. The course will discuss major and basic ethical issues encountered in medical practice and how they can be resolved. What constitutes an ethical or un-ethical medical practice will be discussed. Legal issues and social norms dealing with medical ethics issues will be emphasized, including human rights, medical law, and interrelationships between physician - patient, physician - physician, and physician - society. Experienced people are invited to give lectures or a variety of interactive activities.
