This course covers the study of microorganisms with respect to classification and structure of bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi, their characteristics, growth and replication, and their susceptibility to antimicrobials. It also covers the study of the types of microorganisms that cause human disease, and their pathogenesis, methods of diagnosis and prevention and control.
